Kyle McCarthy, O.D.
Owner and Chief Optometrist
Kyle R. McCarthy, O.D. was born and raised in Ventura County and is excited to be back serving the members of the community. He received his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry at UCLA in 2012 and a Doctorate in Optometry at the University of California Berkeley (UCBSO) in 2018. He completed extensive externships at clinic sites focusing on ocular disease attending high capacity hospital clinics at Fresno Veterans Affairs Hospital, Casa Grande Veterans Affairs Hospital, and the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana.
The community has always been important to Dr. McCarthy, and he has always done his best to give back, whether it be within his hometown, or his optometric community. While attending UCBSO, he was the President of the Optometry school, the student representative for the Strategic Planning Committee, and was on the Alumni Association Board. Additionally, he received several honors for leadership and academia while attending UCBSO including the Ming Pow Low Scholarship for Student Leadership and the William J. Burlington Memorial Scholarship. He also volunteers with local youth sports programs in Ventura County, was a Community Service Officer with the UCLA Police Department, and is a tutor/mentor for current students interested in attending Optometry school in the future.
Dr. McCarthy is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, and a board member of the Tri-County Optometric association. In 2021, Dr. McCarthy was honored to receive the Ventura County Medical Resource Foundation's distinction for Vision Care Specialist of the year! By starting Las Posas EyeCare, Dr. McCarthy has been able to serve the wonderful community in which he was raised; something he has been looking forward to his entire career.
Angelica Castillo
Optician
Angelica started with All Eyecare in our Thousand Oaks location. She has been a dedicated team member from the very beginning, spending hours outside studying and focusing on honing her abilities. Her dedication has helped her advance quickly.
Angelica has become an invaluable team member and can be found assisting patients in many areas of the office. Her attention to detail ensures that she will provide you only the best solutions to your vision needs.
Angelica is a big Disney fan with Star Wars being one of her favorite movie series. Outside of work she loves spending time with her family and visiting local restaurants on family night. If you ever need a recommendation for a great place to eat, Angelica is the one to ask.
David Harris
Optician
David is our most recently added employee, and he brings a wealth of knowledge to our practice. He has years of experience as an optician, and he always greets patients with a smiling face. He can teach you how to use your new progressive, and educate you on the most effective way to clean and care for your prescription glasses. David is our biggest Christmas fan, and on any given day can tell you how many days you will have to wait to see Santa. His warm personality is complementary to his knowledge base, and his charismatic personality immediately puts patients at ease.
Laurie Koger
Patient Care Coordinator
Laurie is our patient care coordinator and usually the first welcoming voice you hear when calling the office. Laurie is responsible for guiding patients through the check in process, verifying patient insurance eligibility, and facilitating patient referrals to other specialists.
Laurie has many years of experience in customer service, and has been ingrained in the community for many years, working in education administration. Her pleasant, calming voice is a joy to our community.
